Our story

Founded more than 20 years ago, Conferium is a Quebec-based company that has pioneered the development of online programs for conference registration, abstract management for scientific presentations and hotel accommodation management. Previously known as Hospitalité Québec, the agency was created by Bruno Bégin who gained extensive experience as the Founding President of the Festival du film de Québec and the legendary movie theater Cinéma Cartier, as Assistant General Manager of the Commission de l’Exposition provinciale (Expo Quebec) and as President of the Québec City Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

At the onset, Hospitalité Québec organized events of a more corporate nature in the Quebec City area. In the early 2000s, the agency started specializing in the management of international scientific conferences. Although the majority of our conferences are in the province of Quebec, in 2004, Hospitalité Québec organized its first overseas international conference, in Cape Town, South Africa, an event that paved the way for subsequent conferences held in Ontario, Spain, the United States and Italy.

In its constant quest to reach for new heights, the company became Conferium in 2014. Its new name is better suited to its main activity, which now extends beyond the Quebec City region.

Since then, Conferium has organized over 91 events of different sizes in various fields. Thoroughness and professionalism remain key elements that are put into practice every day when steering our clients toward the success of their event. Our company’s impact is evidenced by the recognitions bestowed upon the events we helped organize, for example:
